Today I am providing you guys with something new on my blog and it’s going to make you hungry!
As seen from the title, I would like to share with you a delicious recipe that I like to cook from time to time and that is Tuna Pasta with Peri Peri Sauce and Plantain! This doesn’t take time at all and is actually quite fun to do (and delicious of course). I know of people who do not like plantain, and all I can say is that you are missing out boo boo! But hey, one man’s meat is another man’s poison, so let’s just get started!
1 can tuna
1 medium onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, chopped garlic
1 tablespoon salt
Peri peri sauce (whatever flavouring, but I would recommend Hot)
After washing the pasta, put it to boil and allow to soften for 15-20 minutes. Once finished, drain out the water and set it aside as you prepare the tuna.
1. Using a frying pan, put about 2 tablespoons of oil in the pan and allow to heat up for a minute. Add the chopped onions whilst at same time stirring. Continue doing so until slightly brown.
2. Once the onions are done, add the tuna into the pan and stir. Make sure to break off the chunks, the result should feel soft and look pasty.
3. Now add the pasta to the tuna mix and keep stirring for about 2-3 minutes. Add the salt, a teaspoon of powdered pepper and the peri peri sauce and continue to stir. Once the mixture is piping hot and you are satisfied with the taste, turn the hob off and cover the pan with a lid.
