7 Wonderful Things women Should Do To Relieve Stress

Life can be overwhelming at times, it can be hard and stressful! But know that there are so many things you can consciously decide to do to relieve stress. Don’t stress ladies, because do you know that stress is the number one cause for disease? I don’t know what areas in your life are stressing you out but I’m encouraging you and myself to take a breather, find time to relax and unwind and forget about the issues just for a moment.
Don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will take care of itself! (Matthew 6:34) Here are my seven easy and effective things you can do to relieve stress as a woman. I’m sure at least one of them will bring you comfort.
Read a Book
Sometimes, the best way to escape stress is to dive into a good book. Whether it’s fiction or non-fiction, reading can transport you to another world and give your mind a break from worries. A self-help or inspirational book can also provide motivation and perspective to help you navigate stressful times.
Drink Some Tea
A warm cup of tea can work wonders for stress relief. Herbal teas like chamomile, lavender, or peppermint have calming properties that can help you relax. I really love drinking chamomile tea! I feel the benefit almost after 1 sip, it’s that effective! Jasmine tea is also another herbal tea that helps to destress.
Watch Your Favourite Movie
There’s nothing like watching a beloved movie to lift your spirits. Whether it’s a feel-good comedy, a classic romance, or an inspiring drama, your favorite film can provide comfort and distraction from stress. Grab some snacks, get cozy, and enjoy a little escape from reality.

Take a Bath/Soak to Relieve Stress
I try to do this as often as I can! A warm bath or soak can do wonders for your body and mind. Adding essential oils, bath epsom salts, or bubbles can really calm your mind, activate relaxation mode and give you that spa-like experience at home. Haha it’s wonderful! Take an evening, and just tell yourself I’m going to have a nice soak and forget about everything for a moment.
Take a Walk
Getting outside amongst the environmental elements and taking a walk, even for just a few minutes, can greatly improve your mood. Especially when the weather is pleasant, the sky is beautiful, there’s fresh air and the birds and butterflies to look at, it is very refreshing. Moving your body is a significant way to expel toxins and boost your endorphins, which are natural stress relievers. Enjoy nature’s beauty and feel refreshed!
Take a Nap
Take a nap! We tell children, when they’re throwing tantrums, they need to go take anap and sometimes the same should be for us! They say sleep is important, and taking a quick nap can help to reset your energy levels and calm your body and mind. Stress is exhausting, so give your whole body a break. Even a nap of 20-30 minutes (power nap) is sufficient.
Pray and Read Your Bible
Last but not least, I will always encourage you to pray and read your bible. I’ve increasingly found that just having a conversation in prayer with God as if he’s sitting next to me and I can see him really makes me feel better in minutes. Because I’m pouring out all my worries to a God who is all powerful, all-knowing and all-seeing! Turning to God can definitely bring a sense of calm and reassurance. The bible is also God’s word, and is full of so much wisdom, inspiration and teachings. So cast all your cares to the Lord, for he careth for you! (1 Peter 5:7)
