The Free Gift of Salvation is for Absolutely Everyone
My Journey to Salvation
2018 was the year my journey to salvation began. It was the year that God challenged my maturity and growth in him. I believe that my true salvation occurred in 2020, during Covid lockdown. I thought I was saved before, multiple times, but I wasn’t. My sins had not yet been forgiven because I still had the old nature in me, and I didn’t have the shame to completely stop certain sins. But in 2020 God made me feel a great shame of my sins and that I was openly disobeying him constantly without faith and action to change.
But I repented. I cried to God asking for his forgiveness and for him to change me and I quickly began to stop those besetting sins and strive to live a righteous life acceptable to God. God changed me! I still sin daily because I’m still in this corrupted flesh but I no longer willingly sin. He made me to look on my sin with disgust and to search the scriptures so that I could learn from Him on how to be a better person.
The Lord does not delay the promise, as some esteem slowness, but is patient toward you, not willing for any to perish, but all to come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:9
Remembering That Jesus Christ Already Died For Everyone
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, saved me and bore away all my sins. He did it already 2000 years ago. That’s why God sent Jesus Christ, his only begotten son to die on the cross for us all; he was the ultimate sacrifice; the ultimate atonement for everyone’s sin. He has already paid the debt for every single one of God’s creation.
So what do you need to do? Just believe. Believe that he died for you and accept that free gift. Once you believe, change happens. Faith alone redeems us. Faith alone gives us peace that we are children of God. Then by accepting that free gift, God does a work in our hearts, and we in turn walk the life of a Christian, because of Christ’s immense display of sacrificial love.
How can I be saved Today?
- Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour
- Ask Jesus Christ to forgive you of your sins
- Love him with all your heart, mind and soul
- Love others, forgive others, do good to others
- Help others in need
- Read your Bible and pray everyday if you want to mature in the faith, God will help you!
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
1 Timothy 2:3-4
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
Still doubtful?
Ask God! He’s there 24/7 to help you when you need him. Speak to him in prayer and you’ll be surprised just how he’ll show himself to you. It is God’s will that no one perishes, so he will make you realise the truth because he loves you. God is so patient with us.
I look forward to seeing every one of you in the new heaven and earth very soon.

When he hears that fire-bell chime,
Fireman Sam is there on time.
Putting on his coat and hat,
In less than seven seconds flat.
He’s always on the scene.
Fireman Sam!
And his engine’s bright and clean.
Fireman Sam!
You can not ignore,
Sam is the hero next door.
